About the Project
Code Red to Go Green is a student-developed project started in fulfillment of requirements for the subject of Science, Technology, & Society. The developers’ contents are sourced from various news articles, journals, and research studies. The goal is to give an in-depth compilation providing sufficient information that addresses climate change-related issues.
What Code Red to Go Green will provide is an informative website composed of write-ups and materials discussing climate change awareness. It tackles the root causes and impacts of climate change, and the viable solutions to promote climate action and awareness, and mitigate the effects of the climate crisis.
Who would be the target beneficiaries of your project and how will they benefit from it?
Firstly, the Filipino youth and public. This project will allow the youth and the public, in general, to be aware of the dire effects of the climate crisis. Governments are next in line, pressuring them to regulate and mandate corporations to transition to sustainable and responsible practices and production. Additionally, this will serve as a platform for the climate refugees and vulnerable communities to voice out the plight of this target group and aid them. Lastly, Climate Scientists will benefit by helping to disseminate their most recent findings and amplify their ultimatums regarding climate change, alarming and urging everyone, especially the government, to accomplish climate action now.
